Privacy Policy

ASC Viewer for macOS · Effective 22 August 2026

The short version: ASC Viewer collects nothing. Your credentials stay in your Mac's Keychain, your sales data stays on your Mac, and the app talks only to Apple. We operate no servers and receive no data from you at all.

What ASC Viewer does

ASC Viewer is a Mac app that displays information about your own apps — review status, downloads, and financial reports — using the App Store Connect API key that you create and provide.

Data we collect

None. ASC Viewer contains no analytics, no tracking, no advertising identifiers, and no crash reporting. plancd operates no servers for this app and never receives your credentials, your sales figures, or any information about you or your usage.

Where your data lives

API credentials (Issuer ID, Key ID, private key, vendor number) are stored in the macOS Keychain on your Mac, protected by the system. They are transmitted only to Apple, to authenticate API requests, and can be removed at any time via Settings → Credentials.
Report data (downloads, proceeds) is cached on your Mac so past months don't need re-downloading. It never leaves your machine.
Widget data is a small summary shared between the app and its widget through Apple's app-group container, on your Mac.

Who the app talks to

ASC Viewer makes network connections only to Apple:

api.appstoreconnect.apple.com — Apple's official App Store Connect API, authenticated with your key, to fetch your apps, review status, and reports. Apple's handling of this data is governed by the Apple Privacy Policy and your developer agreement.
itunes.apple.com — Apple's public app catalogue, to look up public information about your apps (such as the current version's release date). These requests contain only public app identifiers.

There are no third-party services, SDKs, or servers of any kind.

Purchases

If a future version offers an optional in-app purchase, the transaction is processed entirely by Apple. plancd never sees your payment details.

Children

ASC Viewer is a developer tool intended for holders of an Apple Developer account and is not directed at children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at this address with a new effective date. Since the app collects nothing, changes are expected to be rare and editorial.
